Short Biography

Rachana Banerjee is an admired film and TV actress of Kolkata. She was born on 2^nd October 1978 in Calcutta, India. She knows very well ‘Oriya’, ‘Bengali’, ‘Hindi’, ‘Telugu’, ‘Tamil’ and ‘Kannada’ languages and she performed in many films in these languages. She has performed in many cinemas opposite ‘Sidhant Mohapatra’ in oriya films and opposite ‘Prosenjit’ in bengali films.  

She came into in ‘Oriya’ Film Industries in “Sagar Ganga” directed by ‘Raju Mishra’ opposite actor ‘Anup Saha’. Next time ‘Rabi Kinnagi’ signed her in film ‘Bhai Hela Bhagari’ in opposite ‘Odia’ actor ‘Sidhanta’ and the pair prepared many hit movies in Bollywood and turned out to be well-liked. Concluding they dropped in love and faced disaster in affiliation for which she absent Orissa.

Rachana Banerjee looks very thin and striking evens her realization 34 years.  She has also performed opposite famous Bollywood actress ‘Amitabh Bachchan’ in hindi cinema ‘Sooryavansham’. 

Rachana married with her co-actor ‘Siddhanta Mahapatra’ in 2004. In a few days they divorced and Rachana left the ‘Oriya Film Industry’. Next time she remarried to ‘Mr.Probal Bashu’ Deputy Manager of ‘Tata AIG’ and now they have a son  ‘Pronil Basu’. Now Rachana is busy for TV serial in ‘Zee Bangla’.
